Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 309 and 310
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!
That is great news. My son called and asked me to send him moleskin and band aids. I am hoping his feet are not too bad.
Got a call from my son too and my first letter from him. I feel much better knowing he is doing ok now. He said he eats a lot so the food must be good. Some are still having a hard time he said. I told him to just encourage them to hang in there, it will get easier and then boot camp is over. Proud of him I know it must not be easy. Lack of sleep then standing or sitting for periods he said was the hardest and not knowing anything that is going on out in the world.
i received the second call from my son saturday aug 23, was not expecting the call, but so glad to get it, last one was last saturday, said he was doing good passed his 1st tests, and had watch duty after dinner, also passed the bunk and locker inspections, so he's adjusting, I know it must be hard learning new things and probably wondering how things are every where else. He gets plenty of letters from family, too many, he can't keep them all in his locker, so I told him just to throw them away. I'm keeping busy with work and chores and fun, waiting for PIR. What an exciting time it will be.
My son mentioned having uniform inspection and it not going well. I am hoping they all do better next time.
Ugh!! I'll be praying and sending positive uniform do better next go around thoughts! It takes time, I would think anyways. I still have a hard time ironing creases in my husbands uniforms shirts :) Hang tough 309 and 310!!
Hi DylMom, Tell your son to hang in there and keep moving fwd! You are so right to tell him to keep on encouraging the others!!
Happ you got to hear from him!
Lovingmom, glad to see you received a 2nd call, Congrats on passing his 1st test! and the rest of his inspections! That's great for only being in the 3rd week for having mail running out of his locker :) Wow, what encouragement! If you send him a self addressed and postage paid manila envelope he can send them back to you to save for him when he comes home. Continue having fun and carrying on! Take care
Thanks BCR0095 for the info,i did not think about sending the manila envelope, that's a great idea. thanks too for the nice words it means a lot.
Your Welcome! have a great day and tomorrow is FRIDAY # 3!!
So glad the Division 309 and 310 Moms are hearing positive news from our SR, It makes it nice to know they are doing well and adjusting to their new life. Look forward to seeing every one at PIR.Let's all have a good 38 days, until we see our young men and women.
Just got off the phone with SR! Hanging tough, foods still delicious, still able to crack jokes, and This was his final call until after Battlestations. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this right now, at least I was doing ok, knowing I was going to hear his voice at the end of the week. I guess I'll have to breakout the old voicemail recordings :0)
