Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

“Deleting inactive members - The ad agency that handles N4M is in the process of updating the site.  If you have not been active since 12/1/15 you will be deleted to make room for new members.  You will be able to re-join.  If you don't want to be deleted you will need to post something to activate your account.  They have already started deleting members.”

Just got home.  The whole trip was amazing.  It was hard saying goodbye, but she is happy.  Thank you so much for all the support and the admins for all the information.  It made this process a lot easier.  I couldn't have done it without yo guys.

Not terribly active.  I saw some old comments re: ETs on NUKEMoms group too.  Not sure if that would be another group for you?  You can check out the groups the members belong to in the group I gave the link for above.

Just got home a little while ago, our sailor is staying in GL for A school. He looks so good I couldn't stop just glancing over to make sure he was there, we have missed him so. I was amazed at the pagentry of Graduation and so impressed. I 'want to send out a special thanks to all of the Mom's that came before me, you have helped in ways may not realize. I am still astounded by the difference between Army and Navy graduations! Now my youngest is talking Air Force, told him not sure if I can handle this again! One last question, does anyone know of an A school site for ET's? Thanks again for everyones help and knowledge!
