My Guys Ship 13 Div 325 i only got a few letters :/ he tells me they keep tellin them they re getting a phone call but they never did . . . . :/
Did anyone get calls today from their sailor? I received a long phone call from my son last weekend and thought I might hear from him again this weekend but didn't. Let me know. Thanks,
Hi, my son is ship 13 div 325. I didn't get a call Sunday. I got a letter Wednesday. I was very dissapointed that I got no call yesterday. I pack my phone with me everywhere.
Did you receive a call last Sunday (8/22)?
I got a call on the 22nd. He was very emotional. HOMESICK!!!!!! He has never been away from home. He always brought all the guys home with him..lol.
I have only received one letter. it took forever to get to us. did not get it till Sat (8/28) I was looking for a call on Sunday too but did not get one. However he called while I was at work. sounded much better since he received some of our letters. Anyone else get a call?
What day/time was the call you received while you were at work? I'm trying to get a sense of whether the calls come primarily on Sunday or whether they are at random days/times. When I spoke with my son on the 22nd he sounded great and actually seemed to be enjoying boot camp (to the extent that that's possible). But, he was having 3 wisdom teeth taken out the following Monday and having a cyst removed from his gums (?). Was really hoping to hear from him on Sunday so I could put my mind at ease that he made it through the dental procedures.
call was around 3:45 or 4:00 pm EST he called my direct line to my office. i was so glad that i was in my office like i am supposed to be =) gonna make sure i spend lots more time in there over the next few weeks. they can come to my office instead of me going to theirs.
I heard from my son yesterday at around 3:20 p.m. cst. He didn't get to call last week because he volunteered to be on watch, so this was the first time I've heard from him. He did say he mailed me a letter this past Sunday, which will be his first. It was really good to hear from him. Hang in there mom's, they'll be calling.
I heard from my son this morning, 8:08 AM PDT. He wasn't able to call Monday because he was sick in quarters. He also said that he was just told the Navy is overstaffed with his job (advanced computers/electronics ?) so he had to pick another. Now his job will be aviation electronics and his contract has been rewritten from 6 years to 4 years. And, instead of being in Great Lakes for his A school, he's now grad and go, headed for Pensacola, FL. I'm going to hold out hope that maybe his "go" won't be until Sunday so I have some time with him. If that doesn't work out, I see a trip to FL in my future!
Chico Mom, I hope your son is feeling better. When my son called me Monday, he said he had a cold that was going around too. I haven't heard from him since. Hopefully tomorrow.
Has anyone heard of any meet n greets for pir 10/1/10 for div 325?
