LOL! I sure hope my son is not one of the troublemakers, tho I doubt that he is since he said the same thing. His letter to me this week was very brief because he said he was so very busy - pretty much just wanted to make sure I had the head's up about the possible delay in PIR. I'm going no matter when it is, so I totally understand what you're saying Robbi. Is anyone staying at the Springhill Suites? I had reservations at Ramada but changed them to Springhill.
@JanC., yes I will be at my son's PIR regardless of the date but of course still hoping for 10/1, have to drive 13 hours but it doesn't matter,I would go to the end of the earth lol.
got a letter finally today with some bad and good news!! after we have made plans he took my mom off the list for PIR and put his uncle on so i'm a little upset to say the least and my mom's a bit disappointed. but he's earned some medals and is doing well :) he's mentioned nothing about troublemakers at all so i dont know. hopefully we are all in the clear for 10/1. these change of plans have really upset me though :(
sailorgirl10, your mom should still be able to get in to PIR. She will just have to wait for everyone on the list to be seated. We only have 10 divisions graduating so there should still be plenty of room. She may not be able to sit with you, though. bonniern, anything you can add?
it's to the point now where she said it's alright. i think shes a bit hurt and doesn't care now :( shes got a bad back so i can't have her waiting around and then if she can't get in it wouldn't be good. he didn't even offer he just said she'll have to stay at the hotel which makes me mad!
I am sure she would get in if she went. We have one spot available, others will too, it is a big ceremony hall, and like Elaine said, she may have to wait to get in.
thanks :) ill suggest it. at this point im just taking it a day at a time. anyone hear word on when they will get another call?? i'm hoping soon!
The next call is up in the air, but my guess for 946 is after BS21. We got one after Hell week was over, and it is getting so close that I am not banking on getting another until the 'I'm a sailor call"
I get very little info so I appreciate you sharing what you learn. Congratulations on your son's achievement. I know that letter made your day!
Bonnie, congratulations on your sons accomplishment. You must be so proud.
has anyone heard any word on when their BS date may be for our division, just wondering?? thanks!
Haven't heard anything about BS21. I don't think they will know until it happens, and if they did they probably aren't supposed to tell. From what the recruiter told me it is the last big test, and should happen this week. In another group there is a video on u-tube where CNN did a story, followed recruits during BS21. Check it out if you haven't seen it. It's pretty cool.
