I'm staying at Quality Inn - $69/night....free shuttle also
We will be staying at the Red Carpet Inn! Within walking distance!
we are there too. coming in on wed 9/29 late and leaving 10/4
Just booked a room at the Comfort Inn in Waukegan, IL. We are going to arrive on Wednesday 9/29 and leave on Monday 10/4. I hope that is enough time. It came out to be $79/night for 4 adults with the graduation special and they have a shuttle to get to graduation according to the brochure. We are traveling from the coast of North Carolina so it will be a long trip, but worth it. We are supposed to go to my 25 year class reunion in September, but I don't think we will have the funds to do both. This is DEFINITELY more important to me and my husband. They said that there is limited availablitity so be sure to book soon!! :D
Im so glad to see someone else on here booked the same hotel as I. I will be there 9/30-10/3. They do have a shuttle. I asked when I called to make reservations. Because I am flying and not renting a car, and my husband will have to get back to base. I was afraid he wouldnt have a way back, but they said the shuttle would bring him back.
We will be staying in the Springhill Suites.
We are also at the Springhill Suites. I didn't ask about the shuttle. Did you?
Navy Lodge.
We're staying at the Navy Lodge. Doesn't matter to us if they have a shuttle or not since they're located just 1 - 1.5 miles from the base. That's a nice easy walk. I put on more miles than that when I'm shopping at the mall. Plus, will give us time to chat on the way there and settle our nerves and be ready to sit down when we get there. For once I am truly ready for summer to be over and fall to get here!
Has anyone stayed at the Comfort Inn in Waukegan? If so, how did you like it?
Jmom, From what I have been reading, there is wheelchair availability in the parking lot at PIR. You just tell them you will need a wheelchair and a Sailor and wheelchair appear. After PIR, same thing back to parking lot. You may need to take your rental car instead of the shuttle, though. Find a post by JessicaB and ask her for clarification.
We will be staying at the Quality Inn Waukgan
