I don't know why I didn't think to start this discussion earlier, but here it is...I want us to be able to help eachother out with the dependent info, tricare, dental, etc. Has everyone gotten their Military ID? That is the first step!

Just got my dental cards in! Effective date 10/1/10! Important reminder, dental treatment performed prior to the effective date WILL be denied!
I have my appt at the Naval base on the 28th for my ID. It should be interesting. I have all the paperwork that I need to bring...I think, I hope. Should be ok.
I have already been on the NEX-online site and up to the base to the Navy Fed Cred Union. Hubs said I should harass Fleet and Family Services if I need any questions answered when he can't answer them.

I am now waiting for hubs to get me the info for the LES statement site (mypay) so I can see what deductions he has and make sure everything is as it should be. I think they just went over that stuff last week so I hope the next letter (next Thurs) will have the info I need.
We are waiting on the LES too. I havn't been on the NEX website yet, I will have to check it out. Def good idea to make an appointment for the ID office. The appointments have priority over walk ins.
At our base here, it is super secure so they only do appts. I made mine a month ago. I also cannot bring anyone with me, like my mom even. I can't even go to the Nave Fed Cred Union on this portion of the base either until I have the ID. I have to go two towns away to access that one instead. Pain in the butt.
Did you get the dental form? Should have been with the Form letter we got at the beginning.
Hey ladies! I just got my I.D the other day. Waiting for my Medical card to come in the mail. I sent the form out a few weeks ago. They did take the payment out so I'm assuming I will get it soon.
I haven't sent out any forms, since the only one I got was just a flyer on how to get onto the Tricare site but I don't have all the info I need for it. I have to bug fleet and family for help on it cuz I don't know what yall are talking about, lol. I have the DEERS form too but i have to take that with me to get the ID.
There should have been an application you had to fill out...that is the one for dental. You mail that in with payment. You keep the other form to get your ID card...it says for DD form 1172. I think I will bug my local Tricare office bc I am confused about alot with that. Might stop in fleet and family also, I am sure there is alot more to know about than I even know to ask about.
