Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 820

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Good morningl! My son is in this division...hoping to meet other moms whose sons (no daughters in this division??) are in this division as well!

my son is in this division also.  I see you in the general room which appears to be the more used one

Yes, I do use that room for general questions, but am so glad that we can all be here to support our sons in a more specific manner! I am hoping that tomorrow will be our turn for phone calls! I'm hoping that we will have our own phone tree to use to alert eachother that calls are coming in! BTW- nice to "meet" you:) I see your son is EOD. Mine is AIRR.

I'm right there with ya sister! I'm looking forward to hearing from my son:) From what I have read-the one time we shouldn't expect a phone call is from Sunday morning until 2:00 p.m. Have you read that?

Good morning!  Well after being a slave to my phone over the weekend, still no call - I'm bummed!  When I started seeing everyone else getting calls I was sure our division would also.  Hopefully they at least got to write letters yesterday - now I will need to stalk the mailman!

I had the same thought!!! I would love to have a little light attached to my computer to let me know that the mail has arrived! haha. But seriously, since I live so close to GL... I should receive any letters that were sent pretty quickly.... that is to say if my son writes! He is not one to write notes...so I guess time will tell:)

Do they typically only get a call on weekends ?

I think the vet moms have said be ready... the calls can come whenever.... a post on the AIRR site just responded to Jaxietwo... and said that the 800 divisions calls came later than the other divisions...but once they began working as a team, came quite often. So... here's for division 820 working as a team!!!

Hello to all Div 820 families.  While we are still patiently waiting for phone calls and letters, I am wondering where those of you planning to attend PIR are thinking of staying?  Also, is there somewhere we can RSVP to Sarge's Meet and Greet posted?  I haven't found it for our date yet and I have heard that is a great one to attend.

Here is the link and there is a button to click that you will attend

http://www.navyformoms.com/events/pir-10-11-2013-ramada-meet-and-greet

I've made reservations for Thursday night at the Navy lodge and then am moving over to the Ramada for Friday night - in case he wants a hot tub or just to get away from Navy life for a day!

Thanks Jaxietwo! I'm definitely going to the meet and greet!

You might want to check out the reviews for the Ramada, we have heard both good and bad.
