Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 383 and 384

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello!! My son is in Div 383 Cardinal Company. We live in the very southeast corner of Kansas.. my son just turned 18 and will be a Hospital Corpsman and will go to A school at Ft Sam Tx.

Cheryl here..we are from Ohio.  Ship 11 Div.384.  Son is 17..His 18th Birthday is August 31st.  He is enlisted as an MA.  His A school will be in Texas.  This is my second son in the Navy..the first is about to graduate Nuke Prototype and will be going to Georgia to be on the USS Rhode Island.

Thank you for the site. This whole Navy site has already helped me decide on my trip for the graduation. I am excited (already) for the graduation. My son just turned 21 this past August (4th). He was in college but could not wait to start his life - (: He is in SHIP 11 DIV 384.

Hi My son is in Div.383 and part of the 55th Cardinal Company. He is 18 and will stay in GL for his A school in Advance Electronics. We live just a few miles North of Springfield, Illinois. I just received my first call from him yesterday( Saturday). It was a very emotional call for all of us. But so happy to hear his voice. Everyone says it gets easier but after getting his call I reverted right back to the day he left. His Father and I are now empty nesters with him leaving and I am not enjoying it. How are you all coping? Thanks!

NavyMom2013, we still have our youngest at home, but it has still been so hard to let our SR go. I think we are all in the same boat(no pun intended). Hang in there! My son is also in Cardinal Company and will be staying in GL for A-school. He will be an engineman. he said in his phone call yesterday that he was getting to know everyone and they were all great guys. My husband and I have been praying for all of Cardinal Company since we watched them march out of Cardinals Stadium on the 15th. They looked like an amazing group then and I can't wait to see how "shipshape" they will be at PIR.

Thank You and I too followed them out of the stadium and was thankful when they allowed the SR's one more goodbye before getting on the bus.I made our reservations today at the Ramada for graduation. I am already looking that far ahead and excited too see our SR's become Sailors. So proud of them all!

We are from a small town 30 miles east of Kansas City, Missouri. My son is 19, he is in division 383, also part of Cardinal company. His job is damage controlman, and he will stay in the Great Lakes for A school.

We have friends in KC. Maybe sometime we get out there to see them we could meet! :-) I hope our boys meet each other too. Will be neat to see once they are in A school and we can talk more regularly to the SR's :-)

That would be great! I will be at graduation and staying the weekend since he is staying there for A school. We are driving up Thursday, but cannot leave till late afternoon so my son's girlfriend can come with us. He used his call this past weekend to call his girlfriend, and she couldn't hear him so she hung up. Poor thing is devastated, I'm just hurt he didn't call me.

Oh No  thankfully my son did NOT have a gf going in. :) We are staying up there over the weekend too. I have booked reservations at the Ramada. Hopefully the Ramada will do a meet and Greet Thursday night before graduation like they are doing for the upcoming graduation I seen posted in events.

I have booked there also..and yes they will have a meet and greet..they do for every PIR
