For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 331 and 332
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Got a letter, or, received the questionnaire I sent him. So excited to finally read something from him!! His bunk mate is Biggs, from Indiana. He LOVES stenciling his name (not). He said thy had gotten a reward once, to talk quietly once, LOL. He said that he thinks the guys cutting hair are keeping their eyes closed. He really doesn't like the orange card when it comes out. It means LOTS of PT/IT. 10/17 is getting closer all the time!!!

I finally got my first letter yesterday :) and it's nice to see that he has his humor still.....first sentence
"Hey mom....This is not Juan...LOL!!!" every time he would call me he would say that to me and we would just laugh so at least he is is up beat and that was my biggest fear. He said that his RDC doesn't know his name and that is a really really good thing. But in the back of my mind I was thinking geesh I am going to copy that letter and send it to every teacher and principal he visited and they will frame that. And his feet and big toes are numb for marching and running for about 3 miles daily. Other than that I just wanted to see something.
I have taken the hints for the questionnaire and am in the process of filling one out for him now. I have asked him several questions almost every time and either he is just skimming over the letters I write every day or he is just so excited that he isn't remembering to answer.
He did say he was sorry for not writing as often. I do know that they are busy.

JMmom, it is fun reading the questionnaires once they fill them out. I think it gives them some direction in what to write instead of a blank sheet of paper. I can't wait only a few more weeks! I'm still looking for Austin's bunk mate.s mom, last name Biggs, from somewhere in Indiana. Have a great weekend, hopefully more calls on Sunday!!

My SR (13/331) just called and we talked for 21 min. He said the ship passed inspection today, but the RDC's was calling guys into the fish bowl (his office) to give grief. Dubek's mom, don't worry about your phone call. All is well with your SR. He said today was 2-5, and tomorrow starts 3-1. They all tried on their whites and blues and they look fabulous!! It was so good to hears his voice.
They will be doing blood donations next week, and so, we should get our pictures taken as pirates so they will take pictures of our SR's. -

Hey all! 13/331 mom here!
I don't really get on here much but wanted to stop in and say that I got to talk to my SR twice so far this week - once Sunday for a few minutes and again Tuesday. I only got a few minutes because his little sister gabbed on and on and so did my hubby, LOL. He's doing good, doesn't sound quite so homesick. Making friends. He did tell my hubby his bunkmates name but I'll be darned if I can recall it.
Only a month to go!!!!
