OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Welcome to the discussion group for division 949.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We made our reservations at the Navy lodge as well. I got 2- two page letters and they are so well written and articulate! I can honestly say, even after years at overnight camp, this is the very first letter I received from my son. I read them over and over. He wrote that they had snow flurries on 9/23 and the reactions from the guys who've never seen snow before was hysterical.

Good Morning Everyone!

Hello! Getting excited?

Good afternoon all! I have been carrying my phone everywhere I go, with the volume on LOUD.

Ha beyond excited.......Holding my breath waiting for the "I'm a sailor" call.  Did anyone see their SR on the 900 group face book page? I searched for my daughter but didn't catch a glimpse, maybe this friday!

I am, too! I didn't see my son, either. I'm hoping I will be able to see him in the photos this coming Friday.

<scratching head> - The pictures on the '900 'FB page are of the current recruits? how is that?

apparently each 900 division performs at the graduations 2 weeks prior to there graduation.  So i actually got to see a picture of Tessa at last weeks graduation, granted it was a picture of her behind, haha, but I would recognize that girls behind  anywhere! It's fun to run through the pictures looking for your SR!

Got the call - my son is a Sailor!

Yay! Me, too! Congratulations!

Hi Kathy, My Son Graduated on Friday, then headed to Pensacola, for A school, I am very green at all of this, learning as I go, I work on an Ambulance in Columbia sc, and I could not attend Graduation, do you know if there are any videos on you tube,  Thanks for the information, nice to meet u
