Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 343 & 344. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Got a phone call!!!  He sound great, upbeat and positive!!

We got our first phone call tonight.  I was getting ready to head out for Bible Study and the phone rang with pay phone on caller ID, so I knew immediately it was him.  So excited!  We got to talk for 35 min and he also got to make short calls to my mom and sister.  He said they got their tailored uniforms back and they look awesome.  He missed the written portion of the test to become E-2 by one point, so will have to wait 9 mo. for that. The three meals are his favorite part of the day.  Said he is eating very healthy, and although he is not getting bigger he is getting much stronger. Making a few friends but really looking forward to PIR.  So good to hear from him.

Did everyone with a SR in Div 344 get a call today? I didn't receive a call at all and I didn't know if all of them got to call or just some of them. It seems like div 343 got calls but there is only one comment from div 344

Hey everyone! Got 2 letters from my fiancee yesterday and he seems to be okay. Said they have a lot of problems getting everyone to shut up at night once the lights go out though and it is making him mad. Also said they have an inspection this weekend and if they pass they get to go to the Taco Bell on base and could get a phone call up to 1 hr long. I hope and pray they pass that inspection. I am dying to get a call that isn't business and we can just talk about whatever we want!

My son would love Taco Bell!  It was his favorite place to eat in the months leading up to him leaving.  My SR also said too many in the group wanting to be "the leader" which of course can cause tension/problems all around (welcome to the grown up world young people!)

Yeah my SR loves Taco Bell also. My SR isn't so young though. Pretty sure he is the oldest in the group. Hopefully they will all get it together soon though and start working together and earning their phone calls.

My SR called me Tuesday afternoon!  He sounded good, said he only got in trouble one time.lol  He said he was doing good, and that it wasn't that bad.  They got their dress uniforms on Monday he said.  But all in all was good!

I thought when the division got to call they all did? Was it a business call or did he just call to chat for a bit?
