Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I just received his first real phone call this morning. We got to talk for almost an hour... I noticed a difference in his behavior and he is homesick but he understands this is important. He graduates on Oct 24 . And he said he's on week 1 day 2... He also said all the shots they received during p days got some recruits sick so they're resting. We don't know when his next call will be, so we're relying on letters. Missing him dearly...

What's his position, grace? You have to click on the different ones on the Bootcamp Navy page and the different positions come up. For instance, the Master of Arms info I posted below came up when I clicked on the RPO1.

D C : The number of calls they get differs from division to division....plus, they can have scheduled calls, lose them, earn others, etc.....so just keep that phone handy at all times, even in the bathroom and when stepping outside to get the mail!

Recruit Master-at-Arms (RMAA) (RPO1)
The Recruit Master-At-Arms is responsible to the RCPO and RDC's for:
- Configuration and cleanliness of division spaces.
- Procurement, proper stowage and use of all cleaning gear required by the division.
- Supervision of the division in the absence of RDC's, RCPO or RLPO.

I got my call!! It was good and I loved hearing his voice. He even got to say hi to his little sister - that made her week! Yesterday was difficult for her and she was missing her big brother tremendously.

Where can we find info about the different roles they take in boot camp (master at arms, forward petty officer, etc)?
