I havent checked the mail yet today...Dont wanna be disappointed..but on the other hand there could be something...just kinda nervous now lol...I got my form letter the 8th... husband is ship 2 div 950
Well, Mail just came and still no letter :( Those of you who have gotten letters, were they sent on their own stationary that maybe they took or on something supplied by RTC? My son sent back his stationary that was in his navy bag in his box. Hopefully they have paper for them or he would ask someone to borrow some. His stamps were in his wallet, so should still have them. Now my whole day feels like a waist as I have been desperately waiting for the Mail

Kev'sMom: We are always confused on whether they get Sat mail delivery. But one place I read that the small post office at RTC is not open on Sat., so thinking that mail delivery is M-F. Not sure though!
Yes, it does get better, ladies. By training week #4 (about 3 weeks before PIR), there is a turnaround and they become much more positive. These early weeks are a bit tough.
Also-- everyone should check out the RTC on face book. There's a page just for recruits and they post pictures of recruits. I checked it out yesterday and several pictures on there. Most have the DIV flag visible so you know if it is your recruits or not.
Kim/Austin's mom-- They way I understand, they have mail call everyday except Sunday's and Holidays just like our mail runs, but they are only able to write on Sunday's during their free time and mail goes out on Mondays from them. They may receive a special reward to write at other times.
Glad to see letters are starting to arrive..Can hardly wait for my mail today-Fingers Crossed!! Bradsmom-I'm glad to see that your son said making friends and helping each other out... From my experience in Boot, friends are what pull each other thru it..I feel that after that start getting into hands on training, they'll be looking forward to their days. I actually ended up liking BC at the end. Just struggling thru those first couple of weeks getting into shape is what put me down so much. But boy did I feel good when I got out. Here's to letters for the rest of us today :)
The letter from my son yesterday said that bootcamp was hard but he's made some friends there & they're helping each other through it. He also said he tries not to think about the "outside world". I'm sure it'll get better as Lala said, the 1st couple of weeks are the hardest.
