OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning and God Bless to all of you.  Still waiting on a letter.  I have good and bad days alot of crying.  I would just love to hear her voice or even hear from her in a letter. But as usual I need to remember Let go and let God.  Have a blessed day everyone.

Good Morning Ladies!

I know many of you are waiting on that first letter to arrive and I hope you get it very soon. Just be aware that those first letters can be a little sad or down. The first few weeks of bootcamp are the hardest but each week and each letter should get a little better than the last. My daughters first letter was almost impossible for me to read. I couldn't get past the first line that said "I cried myself to sleep" It still makes me tear up to think of her being there and feeling that way. But that letter was better towards the end of it and each letter got better than the last. By the end she was "loved" bootcamp and could not have been happier with her decision. So be prepared some will be feeling down and homesick and others will be doing just fine. It is all such an emotional roller coaster but we are here to help you through it.

FTLW- Thanks! That's more than the recruiter did for me they had no clue what I should do when the number didn't work except wait for my husband to call again and who knows if or when that will be. I think that was the first time that recruiter had that come happen tho

Susana do u still need the right fax number?? I had to call public affairs to get the right fax number... I meant to send my husband with the documents he called me for but forgot to in the haste of everything. When my husband called for the docs was the last time I have heard from him but I'm hopeful that a letter will arrived any day now.
