OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My granddaughter is in ship 7 division350. She did her BS21 Thursday and ended Friday morning. She called at 2:47pm and said the drill was over with. She was surprised about it. She commented while it wore her out. It was not as difficult as she had anticipated.I was not home when she left the message on the answering machine. She must have gotten some rest becaused she sounded awlfully chipper. She mentioned she would now prepare for graduation. She was at the NEX to buy a little make-up. She didnot mention anything else about the rest of the division.I'm SURE THEY ALL DID WELL!!! Well mom's ,grandma's, girlfriends and wives. the big day is almost here and I am extreamly greatful for the support of this web site. Looking foreward to sharing the big day with you. Oh by the way , she also mentioned she may have a little liberty during the week this week. I'm not just real sure  hhow accurate that information is.She also said she called her recruiter to thank him and let him know how she was doing. She said he was very happy to hear from her.See you soon!!!
