Its supposed to give the sailors luck on battlestations from what I've heard. Kind of like a beacon..like when they would put a candle in the window in the old days.
Ya know - I've never even questioned it! Ha! I've just decided it's "the thing to do," when the recruits are going through Battlestations! I like Charity's explanation, but maybe it's one we should pose for the masses .... ya think? lol
Yea I think thats a great idea..I wasnt completely clear on it myself.
Cool!! Joe (my bf) was pretty sure he knew Billy but wasnt positive since i didnt know his last name... but maybe they will talk about the phone calls. I am glad they hang out.
Mrs. Cindy... Im so sorry you missed your call. That has to be rough.. Im always scared thats going to happen to me. Even though I didnt get to talk to him for even a full ten minutes it was nice just hearing his voice. He is ready to be done. We mostly spent time talking about who he knew. I asked if he knew dillon and I couldnt remember yalls last name...only that it started with a W. So I told him that Dillon looked one of our friends before he got his hair cut off and he joined up with them like 2 weeks ago and then he knew who I was talking about. He didnt know when I simply told him the 2 week thing. I think they lose track of time... Dillon must be fitting in if Joe didnt realize right away who he was by my telling him that Dillon was a new addition. Did you see that they are grad n go? :((
Joe didnt mention it... but Billy (BonnieMae's husband) said the whole division is.
I forgot to mention... Joe said that Dillon is on the "head crew"!! Whatever it was it sounded good...
oh okay. Im sure he does fantabulously!!! lol.. new words..
Hello everyone! My daughter is also ship 7 div 351...she got to call home yesterday! She sounded so excited and had so much to tell me about everything going on...it was hard to keep up and I didn't get to talk much! Just listened! Sounds like their division is doing FANTASTIC!
im happy you got a call. i was curious if they were able to call this early in the day, my husbands in your daughters brother division, hopefully i will get my call today too.. that is great that they are doing good
Did you ever get that call from your husband? I hope so...My daughter got a special reward last night and got to make another 15 minute call home....It was wonderful to hear how happy she is and how well they are doing....
Thats awesome!! :)
Dillons MOm - you give me hope....my son was barely doing 20 pushups when he left also. I'm worried that he won't do enough for them. He really learned a life lesson on that. I kept telling him to go workout but you know that mom doesn't know anything.....lol
