OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I will probably sleep very little.
I'm not planning to, however my old bones may have another idea! lol

I don't know if I could actually sleep anyway! The anticipation for that phone call tomorrow is enough to keep me going! That and I have a million things to do before we head north on Wednesday!

For those who may begin their journey to Great Lakes, tomorrow - safe travels!
Most people.. sometimes I feel myself getting perturbed when there is really no reaction out of someone when I mention that Joe (bf) and brother are in the Navy. It especially flabbergasts me when I tell someone about my brother training to be a navy SEAL.... and they just say oh, okay. Ugh!
I know right?
I am soooo relieved. Simply cant wait to see him again. Okay.. I cant cry.. dont cry. Getting emotional here.
On a happier note, I am nearly done packing. I am watching Pride and Prejudice with my downstairs neighbor right now..in honor of Joe. Its one of his favorites. He bought the movie and left it in my care.
The one with Kiera Knightley (sp?)
im a bundle of nerves.. got little sleep but im use to it thanks to that lovely daughter of mine :)
cant wait to hear from our SAILORS today!! have a good day at work
Thanks you too....just waiting for my phone call trying to keep busy at work, but I really don't have to try because it's always busy anyway! :)
Just "sitting" here waiting for our call ... doing laundry, cleaning house, trying to keep busy so I don't keep watching the clock!
Yes. Everyone stay safe. I am about to WALK to the school [5 blocks]for a meeting (running on just under 2 hours of sleep). It gets out at 1300 so I will be that much closer to the phone call.
i cant wait.. i have my phone attached to me.. on LOUD. lol..
As much as I would love to get that phone call ... it's *probably* going to be another couple of hours, at the least. The one thing I DIDN'T ask God for ... Patience! LOL (But He sure loves to teach us that lesson on a daily basis! Or so it seems)
