Wow, life never stops changing.  My second son joined the ARMY yesterday and goes to boot camp in May.  I wish there was a sight for Army Moms, like this one.  Needless to say, I am sad, but proud!  He knows he will go to Afghanastan this time next year.  :(  I just have to remember it is what he wants and that he is very happy!  I suggested the Navy, but he is the energizer bunny and said that boat life would not suit him well.

Hey there Renick!  My sailor got to call me and ask if who i put on the form was still good because they had to turn in their final list.  So if you hear from him then let  him know.  Have you gotten to talk to him at all?  Get a letter out to him right away just incase he can't call, you never know with Boot.  If just one person messes up they all suffer so that is my advice.  I'm sure things will turn out just fine.  Make sure you have ID and know his ship and division when you go for security check in.  oh and lots and lots of tissues.  I'm very excited for you and your family!!

Hi PIR 10/29 Group!  I come from the future, your past!  Need your input please. My son left 12/14 and is due to PIR on 2/18.  Got the kid in the box, got the RTC Form letter with the 3 little lines and 4 persons to attend graduation.  He erred and did not put my name on the list of four. Put 1) Hubby 2) Bro 3)sis in law 4) blank.

so I wrote to him and he said they said since the letter was addressed to me I could put anyone I wanted in that spot.  But it's not like I fill in the form and send it back.  Will he get another chance to fill in the four names? Please ask your sailors and let me. Thanks so much for your help and dedication! Renee

I agree with the MOM choice.  It is hard for me also recently.  I think it is because there is no sight in when he will be home again.

I think he should get a big ol heart with MOM in the middle of it, what do you think?
