For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Twin Sailors Mom on September 30, 2010 at 10:25am: I haven't been on the web site in a few days, so it took me awhile to get through all the new news! We got letters from both girls yesterday and they sound good. Anna was more upset than Sara because she didn't get to talk to us but for a moment when we got the calls Friday. She said she cried because she couldn't get through to anyone, and when her and her sister switched phones so she could talk to us, time was up. I felt so bad, I knew she was upset and I couldn't do anything but tell her we loved her and miss her. In her letter yesterday she said she is calling us first! They said they are getting so busy, so not much time to even write on Sundays any more. Hopefully we will be getting calls soon again-so we can talk to Anna! Btw How do you order the ribbons - thought it would be awesome to wear at PIR!
