I put a message on our home voice mail to my son, in case I miss his call. I told him how much I love him and am proud of him, and also to call my cell phone. I just am afraid I will miss his call. No letter this week and no call is too much!

Hello all. I got a long phone call today from my daughter. It was so good to hear her voice. She said they did good so they got to call. said they are all working really hard and that she has very little time to write letters so she was sorry. She said they got fitted yesterday for their dress blues and they look fantastic. She said they are still spreading the cold virus around but overall everyone was doing good. I look forward to 10/29

Ok, that seals it. We are only going places this weekend that get GREAT cell phone reception. I am seeing that some of you have gotten Saturday calls so that says camping next Sat is out! LOL! So happy for all of you. Has anyone from S7/D351 received a letter or a call yet? We came straight home from work tonight to check the mailbox but no dice but it is still a bit early for a letter to make it to California. Maybe tomorrow....

newnavymom (mom in distress) I know how you feel. Sorry about his wisdom teeth. I know you probably wish you could be with him. But, he is being taken good care of I'm sure. Your right, it has been way too long not to get a phone call. I am waiting!

I got a call today! He was able to talk for about 20 minutes and he is doing well! He said he is actually liking it there so far and they are in week 2-5 so they are starting their third week soon. He said everyone seems to be doing well so hopefully you will all hear from your recruits soon! and only 36 days left!

Okay but his mom got a letter yesterday that had the address that was on the form letter haha. So I'm not really sure which one to address my letters to.

No letter for me today. I am disappointed! I rushed home from work to find only bills in the mailbox!
Comment by Sea-n-Melody on September 22, 2010 at 5:58pm
I got two letters today! He sounded good and said they were getting fed really well. Although, the return address on the envelope was different from the one in the form letter. Should I be concerned about that or was that just his original address before they moved into where they were actually going to stay for the 8 weeks?
