Hopefully i will be able to attend the meet and greet! MaryK- im glad your son likes the food! my son has mentioned twice already about the food he just doesn't like it! i think it's because he's just not used to eating someone else' s cooking!

We are staying at the Navy Lodge. It does not have a shuttle so I guess we should plan accordingly.

Just wanted to jump over here and add my two cents worth. We just got back from PIR weekend, and the only word I have for it is AMAZING! I can't tell you enough how much more fun it was having all "my" moms there....if you are active on N4Moms, you won't be able to go anywhere (hotel lobby, restaurants, mall) without seeing someone you know. I just looked at the families that didn't have anyone else with them, and kinda felt sorry for them. LOL

I will tell you that this 8 weeks will definitely be a roller coaster of emotions, but honestly, now that it is over, I think we probably took it a lot harder than the recruits did. I actually heard the words "fun" and "not bad" a few times when listening to their stories. My son is now in Pensacola for A-School and loves it! He said it was all worth it. Please feel free to add me as a friend and ask any questions. We are all here to help each other out, right?

I hope I get a letter tomorrow. So, they are having marching trouble. They better get with it so we can start getting phone calls!

Are there any other scrapping mom's, GF or wives out there?

I can do power point, but have little time as I have a scrap booking retreat at the end of this month and the DH and I are going to see the balloons in New Mexico - when I return, I have more scrap booking things....Sorry.

thank you for answering my questions -- I kinda think that 6am sounds reasonable, but I would let the kids decide if they want to come out that early.

What does TG stand for on the graduation list?

BonnieMae, I am glad to hear your son is a yoeman also! Diving as different jobs. My son is a certified scuba diver, so he would love to do underwater stuff. They can do things like EOD, ship repairs, rescue and the seals are divers also. He passed the test before he left, but he would have had to push his ship date back and then he may not have been accepted into the program. So, he left hoping to take the test again and get in before A school. It is out of my hands; although, it does not sound as safe! :(

I plan to attend, but not sure about the other family members -- they are not on here and so don't "know" you all. What time do we need to line up in the morning for PIR? My son and his wife will be on the stand by list and will have a babe in arms -- so don't want them up too early - on the other hand, I do hope they can get in. anal G-mom planning...
