hey so the hotel i stayed at that was about 7mins from base Motel 6.. they had a microwave but i got it after hassling the front desk telling them they guaranteed me one.. if you were to stay you have to make sure you ask fo rit and if you go to your room and its not there you need to go to the front desk before doing anything else.

there is military hotel accomidations on the base there and is much cheeper around 39 a night but not sure you can stay if you are not military. Your BF might be able to get you in though. just another possibility. and they have hot breakfasts in the morning for you.

Yea... CL's wife (Erika) said the motel didnt have a microwave so the lodge may be the way to go.

The Navy Lodge is super close to the base and it is only $65 a night - has a microwave and mini refer . . . they provide a sack breakfast (really minimal) but you can buy milk and Cheerios!! they have in room coffee too (although that was the worst coffee EVER!)

Is he in GL right now at the TSC? My brother has been there since the end of September. Southwest has really great deals to certain locations which include Chicago/Midway. My roundtrip ticket (10/28-11/3) cost 217$ and that was with taxes. It is about 45miles to GL (if I remember correctly) but probably worth it for the cost differential of the airports. Southwest also flies into Milwaukee... which isnt too far. My future MIL booked a rental car through Priceline for 14$/day and I have heard of others who found cheaper. If you bf rents the hotel for you there will be a military discount... There is a motel 8 not far that is like 69$/night (Erika ??).
