Finally heard from the girls, they are good. One went to medical and is starting to feel better finally. They are trying to figure everything out, they didn't realize that they were going to have to buy a lot of things for their room: like food, toiletries, bedding etc. They made breakfast this morning but forgot they had no silverware! I guess they'll learn!

Hello everyone... good to see that all is going so well. Our family had a wonderful time with our Sailor, who is now an ICFR (whatever that means) in A-school at the Training Support Center there in Great Lakes, IL

When I asked him how things were going, if he was satisfied and how he felt about it all, he said everything was fine, that he was very happy with how things are going and that it simply feels like 'life'...

We also talked about some of the inconveniences we experienced during graduation weekend and in the hopes of enabling other familes to learn in advance what we came to understand after the fact, I have posted a new topic to the forum called PIR DEBRIEFING. It is at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/pir-debriefing and I hope you will post your own comments on this topic there. (((hugs)) to all ~~~

I have to say it is an amazing feeling to log onto Facebook and see a comment from my daughter. This is so much easier than BC in the fact that there is more contact with my sailor.
