Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It's gonna be a long day, trying to work and keep my phone close to me. I haven't spoken to my SR since Sep 7th. That is way tooo long. Still no letter since the 30th. Hopefully he'll tell me lots today and when I see him this weekend. BS 21 almost over. I have a bad habit of calling Battleship. oops.

Dang this stupid Cold..thought I was better now I am sniffling again..
Pray for me and my son for better health, he is having his athsma problem again..
I just hope they let us on the plane with a cold..
Praying for better weather today so that all of our N4M families that are traveling will get to the destination safely..
sending out prayers for LaLa's family.
Hang tight the moms and dads and gfs and wives that are awaiting the call to day they will be fine....so far all divs that have done BS21 have been successful, but I am not taking away your feelings as I went thru the same thing and was on pins and needle until I got my call. So Hooyah everyone and have a bless day.

I woke up panicing because I have so much to do and after reading all the comments I have more thing to do! I think I better make a list as my head is spinning with excitement!

yes, well I asked hr what she wanted to eat and she said Sushi -- that would be raw fish wrapped in rice -- I think NOT -- she can go with her older brother. The ret of us will dine on hot dogs! LOL... She also asked for thin Mint GS cookies as well as Samoas -- so I bought the Keebler clones.... Peanut butter cups -- Oh she had quite a list -- I may be going naked because of all the "stuff" I am bringing....no room for clothes.

@proudmoms-I know, I heard your dog last night while we were talking or was it tonight? my brain is so rattle cannot remember what my name is...

I too like the carryon as you don't have to wait...but it's worth the 5 bucks to do curve side check in too...if you must have luggage.
