Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I will be PRAYING for Nathan tonight and as he travels home. Congrats to the family members of the new sailors. And Best wishes to the DIV going through BS21 tonight.

Greeting from PIR 11/5/2010!! We just want you to know we are thinking of you and praying for you as you begin your travels towards Great Lakes. Congrats to each of you on surviving boot camp and becoming Navy Strong Families. The journey has been challenging but the rewards will be many! We will follow you next week and we are so excited! May God Bless each of you and your sailors!

BS has started, praying they all do their best and come thru strong as a division. Lord watch over them tonight and guide their steps and hands. Give them strength to complete their tasks assigned and the wisdom to help each other when needed.

He is physically okay, but very upset, as we all are. he was able to walk to her room to see her so he's going to be ok, but in time.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. please continue to pray for nathan as he is about to go through battle stations and pray that the weather cooperates so he can come home tomorrow. Amber was such a sweet girl and will be greatly missed. remember to live your life to the fullest because you never know if there will be a tomorrow. RIP Amber

did something happen in Lala's family? I heard her son is going home after BS21... but I cannot find a posting about his sister passing... I don't want to mail a sympathy card if it is not needed. KWIM?

My son called Hey mom Its me. I'm a sailor, don't cry. Told him it was too late and we had a great talk. Looking forward to Friday. Congratulations everyone we all survived with the help of Navy for moms.
