Hi, everyone! I started a discussion early last week to see if anyone was interested in putting together 1 or more baskets for Sarges Meet and Greet but didn't have much interest.
Thought I would try again since there were a couple of nice suggestions on the main wall today.

If anyone else would like to participate, I think it would be a really nice gesture for Sarge and his wife

Maybe each division or set of brother divisions would like to put together a basket containing small gifts from each of our SR's home states? Just a suggestion :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Thank you Catmom!

Gals,

If you want to include a t-shirt from a sports team or your state, etc... make it a size Large as that would be good for both men and women~~

I will bring something for the CA basket representing San Diego.Thank you for coordinating this!
Great! I will have the California basket so we can arrange to meet a few minutes before. I'm easy to spot. I'll be the redhead with a nose ring and a cast on my left leg lol

Not really understanding the gift baskets thing. Are they to be auctioned off? So you can win one or something like that? I might be able to do Washington, DC/Maryland/VA

from what i understand they are to be raffled off at Sarge's Meet & Greet on the 30th.

Karen, the baskets will be raffled off in order to offset some of the cost of the meal that Sarge and his wife provide at the Meet and Greet free of charge to PIR families each week.

Surfcitynavymom--I will do a Maryland/Crab themed basket for the Meet & Greet.

Great! That's going to be a fun basket!
Poor thing, casts suck!! I will find you to give you our stuff, thank you so much!
Thank you! I have had surgery on each foot over the summer and I have been in a cast on one or the other foot since June 2nd and won't be cast free until after Nov 17th so I'm not sure I will know how to walk normally anymore lol

Surfcitynavymom,

Hope you can manage alright with your cast!  If you're driving to PIR, there will be Sailors available to get you a wheelchair and your very own Sailor to take you to graduation hall~~

Keep to the left of the long line waiting to turn right into RTC.  Go past the entrance and all the way to the train station where you can turn around and come back, then make an easy left turn into RTC.

If you are taking Sarge's shuttle, I think Sailors can help you with getting off the shuttle and getting a wheelchair for you.

Oh, could you provide me in a private message how many baskets come in and how much was raised?  Thanks~~
