Morning all. Arrived in Great Lakes yesterday around 1:00 in the afternoon. Had just picked up our rental car and were putting directions in the GPS when our call came in. Sooo excited, we were afraid we would miss it while we were flying in but the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Our Sailor has "pulled duty" on Friday afternoon so he said we would'nt get but a couple of hours with him after PIR tomorrow (man that sounds so awesome to say tomorrow!), so he is treating us all to lunch at the KFC in Ricky Heaven, and some time at the NEX. Not exactly what we had in mind for a celebration on Friday, but we will have Saturday and Sunday to do things the way we had originally planned. Like Lydia, diannep and all the seasoned moms have said, in the Navy everything is subject to change on a moments notice. So we will just go with the flow and enjoy every minute we get with our new Sailor. Staying at the Residence Inn, it's awesome, even have a fireplace in our room which was a nice added surpise. Can't wait to see everyone a the Meet n Greet tonight at the Ramada. I keep pinching myself to make sure this all isn't a dream, hahaha

its almost midnite here in california, did get a call from my son today, so excited.  He told me that the sailors have a "timed" hug--lol I understand though.  I am leaving here in about 8 hrs.  Drinking a cut of tea to help me sleep --LOL
