GOOD Thursday morning do I hear a hoooooooooooooyaaaaaaaaaaaa Navy Moms/Wives !!!!!!!!!!

Navymom - you are in the right place. The box is a tough one... its your first reality that he is gone now and growing up. This is a roller coaster ride and you will need your peers here. Unfortunately in the civilian world of friends and family, they really just dont understand. No one can understand what you are and will go through except someone with a kid in the service. Glad you are better.

Precious mom ---does not sound correct, no.... should be Ship ?? Div 586 - sounds like you mis understood or the recruiter shorted you two digits for the Ship.... you might want to just wait for the form letter.

YALL RMEMBER ---- THEY WILL NOT BE RECEIVING YOUR MAIL FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS SO DONT BE TO WORRIED ABOUT THE ADDRESS JUST YET. YOU WILL GET IT SOON and then you will send lots of letters that will still be piled up.... be patient..... they wont get the letters for a while anyway. If you mail one tomorrow........ wont get it for three weeks.....

Stormymom - thank you - Im soo happy to help but really it is the support yall will lend each other that make this site work!

heather - you have another Spec Ops mom in here now.... AmyB --- yall need to friend each other. Hope work calms down soon!

Hello All...I have joined this group although I haven't received the letter yet. My son arrived in GL last week, wed. nov 3. He left in the shuttle at 130pm and we got the call at 1020pm.The day at MEPS was great but the phone call was disturbing, he sounded like a robot and it was about 5 seconds long.We received his "box" this week, on Tues. and I had a very hard time. I thought I was doing fairly well up until that point. I could not stop crying for hours and into the next day. I actually think it was a good thing, I let it out...Later in the day after getting together with friends, I felt much better. It's the middle of the night here and I am finally able to catch up on N4M's and I saw this group had formed and I'm pretty sure this is where I belong...:) Before he left we were told his graduation date would be 1/7/11 so now I am waiting for the official letter...Thank you all for getting this together, I am looking forward to travelling this journey with you....

hello ladies....Quick Ques!!! I was given my daughters address by her recruiter. However, I was under the impression that the ship numbers will be 2 numbers ranging from 1-17. I was given a 586 number. Is that right??

Hello, everyone! I need to start getting on here a little earlier. Work has been very busy, and I'm getting home about 2 hours late, and then end up falling asleep for a nap. Next week should be better when a coworker is back from vacation. Well at least when my brain is so busy, I don't sit around and think about R, which is probably a good thing. Thanks for all the good info. Can't wait till I get his address, so I can start writing to him.
