Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Funny story
Daniel asked for me to send him a "care Package" last week. Sooooo I went to walmart and spent about $40 on protein bars, oreos, halloween candy and so on. mailed it out Tues afternoon. He recieved it Friday afternoon. 30 minutes after it came, their RDC or whatever they are called in A school announced he was doing room inspections in 30 minutes. (they are not supposed to have food in their rooms at G L) . Well, Daniel and his 3 room mates ate every bit of food in that package before the RDC got there. lol probably sick for the weekend.

Oh Alli you are such a jewel, just email me the address and I'm sure there are some moms on our website who would love to take this young man under our wing. Do you rememeber back about me telling you there was a reason your son is still there maybe its this boy? After every thing Gavin has been thru he still want to reach out to others. Sound like anyone else we know girls? lol My finers are already itching to write a "real letter" , love you girl

Well my turn
I took my neice to the beach for a few days and she seemed to do ok. Thanks so much for all the prayers for her.
Daniel on the other hand is doing good, calls every evening, loves school and some freedom. A group of them (females too) went to the "mall" last weekend and really had a nice time. I hope to see him in January.

I just want to let you know that I miss you all. I read an article this morning called "The healing power of friends", you ladies came to my mind immediately. I really don't want to loose touch. I'd love to know where the kids are and what they are doing.

Daniel called last night, he had been on "hold" for GSM school since grad but actually started school yesterday. Yepee! Seems to be doing great, says it rains alot up there. lol Hope everyone is doing good. Have a good day.

where are you guys? I get to hear form Hunter more than ya'll. (to those of you who don't know we were blessed that Bobbyherbs son and Daniel were not only friends in BC but they are roommates in A school.) Plus he's a great kid. I hope you all have a wonderful day. My neice came this week and I sent her to the beach, I will join her Friday and we'll come back home Sunday. The beach is such a healing place.
