My son is Tanner Savage, I believe his bunk mate is SR Lemmons. His first bunk mate was Solammi. He has a great appreciation for his bunk mates as they make things bearable. Are there any moms out there with this ship and division? Tanner called this past Wednesday his first call since he arrived. He said it is far more difficult than he ever imagined. He passed his first PT test and first written (50 question) test. Lots of pressure and no time to study. I am thankful he has remained focused on getting through it. He says the letters from family and friends keeps him going as that is really all there is to look forward to each day. I miss him.

Thank you for your prayers. I cried so much on Friday that my tear ducts must have up dried up! It was really hard reading the posts on PIR 10/9 about the moms getting the calls. All I could think of was will I get the call too?
I talked to Brad yesterday on the phone and he stated one guy will have to do BS with another
division but will get to graduate with ship 09 div 345. So I knew exactly the situation. So it is not to bad he only has to pass BS - Brad said it wasn't to bad. He just has to make sure he stays awake. So not to bad. Brad stated on the last PFA test he almost did not graduate. He stated he had to run a mile in 12:15 and he did fine but the last lap would not registered on the machine - he actually ran 2 extra laps and the machine still did not registered either lap which made his laps time 12:53 when he actually just stopped. Thanks goodness the RDC was paying attention and told the higher ups what happened so he was able to pass. Talk about problems happen and my son seems to have the worst luck with out even trying. So keep your chin up. He can do the battlestations. Thinking of you. Lesa
Thanks again for you vote of confidence. :)
Thanks for your kind words. I will keep you guys posted.
We are all looking forward to meeting you & B.J.. He will make it....I just know it!! Just keep thinking positive thoughts! Tanner sounded terrible when he called me on Friday. I spoke with him again yesterday and he sounds like a new person. A couple of days can make such a difference. It is probably a blessing he was able to wait. GREAT things come with time. :) Hang in there!!
Hey, this is Tanner's Mom....I just wanted to thank each of you for your trememdous support throughout our journey of Boot Camp. My sanity would have been compromised so much more without you all sharing your concerns and your joys. I was so happy to meet so many of you at the Oct 8th Meet & Greet and the Graduation. Know that I will always be grateful and thankful for you and NAVYformoms.com.
It was really nice getting to meet you in person. What great luck to be right across the hall from you and your guest. The cermony and graduation were totally awesome. It looks like you and katie made it home safe and sound. Good deal!!! Take care. So far school is going good for Brad. Good Luck to Tanner on his schooling.

Hey Lesa! It is good to hear from you. It was great luck. I enjoyed meeting Brad, you and your family. It was great luck. Katie and I did make it home. We had a bit of a delay due to rain but eventually arrived safe and sound. It rained everyday since except today. Now it is quite chilly. How is Missouri? Yes, Tanner is getting to know his new roommates in GL nand things are going well. I am so glad to hear it's going well for Brad. My best to Brad and you all!

Thank you very much for helping me keep my sanity too. B. J. is in San Antonio. Thank goodness he got to see a doctor and they put him on the Z-Pak, which should clear up his bronchitis. The best of luck to your sons on their future endeavors. One kid down and two to go!
