We got 2 letters yesterday. Nathan didn't have time to finish the one from the previous week to get it mailed plus my mom got a letter too so I got to read 3 in one day! He is ship 3 div 346 and as of 9-20 said they only have 8 days of training left and the BS. He said they will finish a week before graduation because they are the most senior division. He said hell week went well and is mostly enjoying it except for the weekends that aren't as busy and the time drags then. Was great to hear from him again.

Hi Jimmy's girl, I am sorry to hear Jimmy's PIR date was changed. So far for us, no news is good news, especially since Daniel was having knee trouble. Does anyone know if a sailor is on light duty because of a medical issue, will that push his date back or can I assume that he's passed what he needs to have passed so far since I haven't heard any differently?

We are at the Ramada as well. Paperwork says the recruits only have day liberty, is this accurate as far as anyone knows? My brother lives outside of Chicago and I'd love to be able to bring Daniel "home" if possible....

Well fire season in SO CA has begun again! 107 temps 10-25 mph winds and next to no humidity and 2 fires started today! Man it is so scary to drive down the road and see the smoke and orange glow on the hills in the distance! I wish GA could send us some of their rain!

Molly congratulations! I am excited for you. I have only gotten 1 call from Mike. on 9/9 as well. Seems like forever between letters and that 1 call just wasn't enough. I know he was annoyed at some of the other recruits. They seem to have trouble following instructions and they talked a lot. ( He was probably one of them) If I hear anything from Mike this week I will post it.
