For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I have 1 full pug, she was a rescue pug, and a pug/dashound mix. They are great and we had a ball camping, went river tubing all day yesterday. Now I'm ready for my call, I'm so greedy. lol

J R's Mom My son told me in his letter that he is grad and go but is staying in Great Lakes, so we should get to see him after he checks in at A school, anyone know for sure?

Comment by wisconsinmom on August 28, 2009 at 11:13pm: Hi Mel, my son is in Div 947 ship 06 also. Think we met on the bootcamp forum. I called residence inn-gurnee/waukegan and they still have rooms for $114 a night. All the navy rate rooms are sold out. Wow and still 6 weeks to go!

I'll be tubing with a margarita in my hand but I'll be think of you all and and the mail-man stalking. Ya'll are great.

He also said "the first few days I was here I thought I had really made a mistate, but it's much better now" So ladies we are going to make it!

Its amazing was 2 paragraphs will do for you. I hope you all get yours soon.
