N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thank you  Dmaeship12div410 for the support.  I'm thankful for everyone on this site and their understanding.  Praying for something more positive when I hear from my SR next.

My sons girlfriend texted me that she got a letter today, so I rushed home no letter:(  He isn't much of a letter writer and it probably took him all the time he had to just write that one. But I got the call last Saturday and he was doing fine. So excited about PIR, We are going to the meet and greet on Thursday night and are staying at the Navy Lodge also. Can't beat the price. we are flying into Midway Thursday afternoon. Hopefully the meet & greet will keep me busy so I don't stand outside the gate all night waiting  for PIR to begin.

Holly my SR is Ship 12 Div 409, my SR is on Ship 12 Div 410. They are brother divisions. Maybe one of the veteran moms can help you with the box. They have a ton of knowledge.

If one division is acting up. Does the brother division get in trouble also? Since they train together. Does anyone know?

KB2OWJ Ship 03 Div 415, I'll be thinking of you. It is VERY SAD that a few have to ruin it for the rest especially ones like your SR. They need to grow up and realize this is what life is all about. They should be the ones going home not your SR it's just NOT RIGHT.

Received our first letter today. It was wonderful. I am hoping all the other moms get one soon.

Got a letter from our SR today.  Not good.  Just reiterated the phone call on Saturday.  Seems he's the one who takes the hit for the ones under him that are messing up.  And because of them messing up, he now has 2 "bad conduct" entries and  he may be delayed or sent home which is so unfair.   The team really needs to pull it together.... Its not high school anymore.  Their actions have consequences for the ones that really want this career.  Hopefully they'll have that AH HA moment soon.  Hoping the next letter or phone call is more positive ...keeping fingers crossed.

No letter yet:( Uhh, I think my mailman went on vacation or something because I haven't received any mail in two days. I usually get at least some kind of sales add:/ If nothing comes tomorrow, I'm hunting him down:)-

Missed the call yesterday, was sad, but I got a letter today. I can't wait to see her.
