N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

My sister just confirmed she did order them from Lala. Maybe we just had a bad batch of stickers? I posted a picture of my ribbon to my page.

Here is Lala's page.  There are pictures on here of her ribbons (scroll down).  She has been doing this for the PIR groups for over 3 years now:

I left a message for my sister. Sorry if I offended anyone but was just trying to help. If I remember correctly my sister said they were 6 or 7 dollars each plus shipping unless you ordered a certain amount. I still have mine I will see if I can post a pic. I had lost a couple of my letters but was lucky that my sisters ribbon still had the ones I was missing. Being that her ribbon was useless due to the numerous missing letters I was able to take her letters for mine.

Sea turtle:  Lala Ribbon Queen makes the beautiful ribbons for PIR for you.  I have to say....if she is who your sister ordered from (there were others making ribbons back then), I would be very surprised....we have never had a negative comment on here about Lala's ribbons!  For anyone interested, Lala posts on here frequently, or you can find her under the "MEMBERS" tab above....look at the ribbons on her page....and get her info there.

ALERT ALERT ALERT ! Exciting News. Our PIR Group will be having a raffle at Sarges Meet & Greet. ......

Just because the government shut down doesn't mean us Navy Moms Navy Dads, Grandparent's, Girl friends Boy friends, Husbands and Wives.. should do the same. Anyone that would like to put together a basket filled with items from your home state to represent your home state or items you have crafted, baked or borrowed and forgot to return to the neighbor that moved. You can bring it to the Meet and Greet and have it raffled off. With all the proceeds going to Sarge and his wife. They provide and purchase the food, nothing is donated. Sarge will also make a donation to cards for recruits with money raised from the raffle. Pay it forward, Pay it forward.  The basket can represent your home state.  We can have many different baskets with many different things in them. Sports items, Challenge Coins. Blue Candles. The possibilities are endless. Each raffle ticket will be $ 5.00 or 5 for $ 20.00. Really it is what ever you want to bring and there is a dollar store and a Walmart right across the street for people to buy baskets if flying in. You can use gift bags and even buckets. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you. Time to have some fun.

Good evening everyone I am happy for those of you that are hearing from your SR. Regarding the ribbons I do not know who my sister ordered them through but back in April it was advertised on here to buy ribbons. They looked nice but the stickers kept falling off the ribbons so they were not worth the money. I searched and found all my stickers. Unfortunately my sisters must have been falling off before we realized it because hers were gone. Another thing to consider is it will most likely be cold so with jackets I think the stickers will fall off even more. My sister said she is going to look at making our own. I don't think any of us moms could do any worse than what we previously bought and they would most likely be cheaper. Good luck
