N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Does anyone know if the partial government shutdown will have any effect on USPS? Are letters going to be delayed? I would be so bummed if that's the case. :-/

Boy 503 808 we could share some stories LOL.  My daughter would have shot first and asked questions later,  the heck with the police.   You should she her and animals..reminds me of Ellie Mae Clampett . (may be aging myself).  We call here the "animal whisperer" LOL  Here's one .. she took dog out to pee and he got a hold of a mama groundhog shook it, then tossed it killing it.  Next thing she hears and sees 4 little babies pop their heads out of the rock wall  by our house.  She frantically calls me and proceeds to say "we have to save them mommy".  I was 20 miles away working.  I did find a place to take them, but I would need to catch them .. yeah right.  So later when I got home and saw how big they were, I told here they will survive on their own. Now I bet you that big fat one in my backyard is one of those babies from 2 years ago.  When she was 3 she gave my husband a baby copperhead she found and she also gathered bumblebees that fly on this this weird flowering bush that turns pink in Sept.  My vet is very patient with her and answers every question and told her she can come there to work when she's old enough.  OMG  she is just too much.

Ha ha we do too. And ours thought the same thing last year while her brother was in college but my husband has his own business and turned our basement into a meeting room and the bedroom into an office for him .Girls, girls girls. Quick funny story my husband and I where in California visitingour son and I get a call in the middle of the night. Its her saying she was sleeping in her brothers room in the basement and thought someone was up stairs. I told her why are you calling me I am 12 hours away call the dang police. (Girls) It ended up being our dog digging in the trash. Ugh Girls. Thankfully I only have 1. LOL

Too funny... must be a female thing LOL. My daughter thought she was going to take over my son's "Man Cave" and convert it into her "Princess Cave".  We have a finished basement with a family room, small kitchen area w/ washer and dryer and bathroom.  I live in my grandmother's house and have for like 30 years.  She lived down there and then we let my son hang down there with his buddies after she passed.  Now my daughter wants to and my husband said "NO WAY.. I'm taking my house back" LOL

KB2OWJ Ship 03 Div 415 That's funny about your daughter. When my son left my daughter said oh good now I can go back to being an only child. (see what I mean about girls) She left to go back to college and was back at school for 6 days before she had to come back home for the weekend cause she was homesick.See what I mean about girls. But she swear that she is moving to Hawaii for 6 months. Yea we will have to see that. Her and her brother and 4 friends spent 2 weeks there before she went back to school and him joining the Navy. (We do have family there) But keep in mind her college is less then 2 hours from our house and Hawaii is like 2500 miles from our house. Girls. LOL

Last thoughts before I hit the sack....NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS...those who didn't call if their division did may have had "watch" or an appt elsewhere on the base and hopefully will call soon,(remember, if their PIR date changes for any reason, they will call you) and .... in about 32 days, you will be watching your sailors "strut their stuff" in GL!  HOOYAH!

Night!

Comment by diannep on September 30, 2013 at 11:03pm

The lower-numbered divisions will do BattleStations the week before PIR week....none on Fri and Sat nights...others will finish up PIR week.  I do believe that 415/416 will go early during PIR week.  A reminder that we cannot post actual BattleStations dates on this site or FB....but you can private message them.  If you get a date from your SR, please friend request/message it to me since I keep schedules for each group.  Thanks!
