N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

He just said he was frustrated with some of the guys but he was staying out of trouble. He joked in his letter and later on when he called he sounded good. I think he's nervous and stressed but that's to be expected. They will be fine once they all get on the same page. I'm sure all the divisions struggle at some point. He did say it would probably be his last call until after BS. It's your job to worry but keep thinking positive thoughts.

BTW Todd, the letter I got on Thu didn't sound good. :(  This is why I'm anxious to find out how things are going and if they are starting to come together.  Any word from your SR on Thu on how that is going?

I said the same thing Todd.... I know where I rate too LOL.

No call for me on 9/26, which makes me think he called the GF because it was her birthday. She also got a call on 9/14 & 9/21 and 16 letters (11 around 9/12 and 5 on Friday).

The only calls I've gotten was the strictly business call "I need info" on 9/13 for about a min and a 20 min call on 9/21, then a letter arrived on Thu 9/25.

The calls from my son on ship 03 Div 415 came on the 14th and 26th. He said we got 10 min and his girlfriend got 10 min each time. Wonder why I don't believe him. ;-) So far one letter from him on 9/26 and his gf got 5 in one day the week prior. I know where I rate. Haha
KB2OWJ, didn't u hear from your boy on 12/21? I didn't get a call that day.

WOW Sea turtle that's a lot of people.  I'm sure your SR will love it :)

We're staying at the closer one. The indoor pool would have been nice, but I don't think we're gonna have much time for anything. My husband has to work when we arrive due to end of month processing.  Initially my SR's girlfriend was going to be coming with us. Now her mom is coming with her (she is not happy about that, but its anxiety thing he dad has) and arriving much much later and staying at the same RI.   Since it seems like there will only be 3 allowed to the PIR, we have to make a decision to take the girlfriend or my daughter to the ceremony.

Sorry ladies but I actually forced myself to have a productive weekend so was not on the site. I am staying at the Residence Inn in Mettawa because they have an indoor pool and we can bring the dog. Their closer location has an outdoor pool. I won't be swimming but we have about 15 people in our group and they wanted a pool. The RI's have 2 bedroom suites with 2 baths and a FULL KITCHEN. Someone mentioned they may be looking for a place with a kitchen.

Hey there Sea turtle.  I saw an earlier post that Todd had a call on 9/26.  I haven't had any calls since 9/21.  Did receive a letter on 9/26 which didn't sound good as you know.  After that letter, I'm just hoping for some kind of communication because I'm a little anxious in finding out if things are going better.  I did send another one out on this morning.

Hello KB20WJ are you sure our division has called. My son has not called. He usually calls us first then his GF. I just checked with his GF and she has not heard from him since our call last Wednesday. Unless something is wrong with my son I don't think they have called. I don't recall seeing calls from 415 did I miss the post? I am with you regarding the letter. I sure hope they send us one.

lisacast-I hope there isn't something in the water to grow more hair on their chest-my daughter would look funny!! lol I am glad you are all hearing from your SRs. My daughter-Div 951 got phone calls on Friday. She called her boyfriend and not me. So I know how you feel KB2OWJ. I too am hoping for a letter Wednesday!

I'm feeling disappointed in my SR since I heard that Ship 03 Div 415 was calling over the weekend.  I'm sure his girlfriend got the call instead of us...his family :(   I All I can do now is hope for a letter this week.
