My son is also on same ship/division. We also got that first phone call yesterday. Was so happy to hear from him. What is a push division. What day did your son enter boot camp? I am still learning things.

Hi cady22, from what I understand about the push division is that they are on a faster track to graduation. They are pushed harder. My son told me that the first week they were there didn't count so even though they may be in week 4 to us, they are only in week 3 for them. He also said that this may  be the last group to graduate this year. He said he doesnt think there may be anymore recruite for this year? Im not sure if that is correct because I know he is still learning thing also. My son entered boot camp on 09/12/11. He left for boot camp on 09/11/11. I know that he told me that Batttlestations are in 3 weeks, those are the big tests, after passing them they are US Navy Sailors. I am new also and still learning things. I have finaly received letters so I hope that you are receiving them also. My son said that is a great help! Another thing he said helped is that in my letters I send a self addressed stamp envelope so that he doesnt have to worry with stamps or addressing he can just stick his letters in and send them. I hope some of that helps!

For everyone who ordered ribbons to wear to PIR they have all been shipped even the ones that were ordered last night and this morning. You should have them within 2 to 3 days. It is not long at all until time for PIR and I know you are all EXCITED about that :-) If anyone missed out on ordering ribbons and would like to get them please contact me ASAP. I have a very quick turn-around and ship Priority mail so there is still plenty of time to get them to wear to PIR. Just send me a friend request on this site or an email to: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com    Thanks everyone for making my ribbons a part of your very special event.

Hi Wendy,

You can contact Lola at uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com

She makes the ribbons and they are Awesome!!! If you can order them, I would do it!! You wont be disappointed.

Terri

Can't believe only 5 days till we leave for GL!  Will be the longest 5 days of my life probably!! I was glad to get the notification of when our recruits will be doing battlestations. It's nice to know and be able to keep them in our thoughts and prayers that they all get through it together. My son has said in letters and phone calls how well this group has done collectively. How well they work together and all the flags they have received, etc.  I think it is a testament to all you moms (and dads) as to how well these young men and women have done. Look forward to meeting all at the meet and greet and at PIR!
