Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

DVD has arrived. Can't believe how much I missed and I was right there. Great to see William as Recruit Commander. Their camera had a MUCH better view. Best wishes to all of you.

I think we may have received son's DVD, at least the package feels like it. But he is in Goose Creek and we haven't had a chance to communicate about what has come to our address. Will ask if we can open the package and view before we send to him.

Thanks so much Raberta. I've decided to stay on untile the DVD arrives so I can check to see when others receive. Will stay on the lookout. Had hoped to have by Christmas so his grandparents could see. Take care.

@WillMom: Nothing yet. I asked my son and he stated it takes 6-8 weeks from PIR for those to come. So I figure we should see it around New Years. If it comes before then, let me know, and I'll do the same!
