Good morning everyone,I just spoke with Sarge regarding donating a basket for our Meet & Greet on 11/6/14.  He is such a nice guy and does such a wonderful thing for our Navy families.  He said yesterday's PIR had 50 baskets!!! They had over 400 people !Let's see if we can beat their record !! He said that the baskets can be anything, i.e., the state you are from, wine/cheeses, etc and that some of them go to Walmart in Great Lakes and create them then instead of flying with your basket.…See More

What are the Baskets for?

The baskets are raffled off at the meet & greet and the money is used for future meet & greets. Raffle tickets are sold at the event --- $2 each, 5 for $3, 7 for $10 and 15 for $20. It's my understanding that Sarge pays for everything and with these baskets being raffled it helps with some of the cost.

He does the Meets & Greets every week there is a PIR!!   He is a sweetheart too~~

Hi Christie,

Thank you for starting the Basket Project for this PIR Group!!  Can you please pop onto the main comment page of this PIR and make an announcement that a Basket Project has been started and to please pop up here to the Discussion Forum to let you know if they would like to participate.  You can copy and paste your wording from here~~

Hi CatMom509
I hope I did this correctly... I think I posted the comment in the PIR 11/7/14 group? Thanks again for everything!!

Yep, Christie, you posted the announcement in your correct 11/07/2014 group!  Thanks again~~

I have a basket started, it's going to be a brewery basket, we have wonderful local breweries here in Delaware and Maryland. So far the response has been great.

I love that idea tammievan!!!!! My husband and I love to visit different breweries and try their beers. I'll definitely be putting raffle tickets in your basket :) thanks again too !!

I think I've got my husband adding a basket from work. Promo items/samples.

Thank you MHD and Austins mom!!!

FYI, I'm planning to bring a basket, too.  Currently contemplating Navy-related items: challenge coin, blue candles, etc.  It's a work in progress!

Thank you jurisprude!!
