Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 369 & 370.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!
Hello fellow 369/370 families. I hope everyone will take advantage of having our own division page in order to get to know one another better, create an opportunity to meet at PIR, and to facilitate staying in touch long after the RTC days as our loved ones progress through their careers.
Little trivia - the USS Hopper (DDG-70) was named after a pioneering computer scientist, Rear Admiral "Amazing" Grace Hopper and is the second US Navy warship named for a woman from the Navy's own ranks.. The USS Hopper is an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer.
KwajMom- Thanks for the trivia on the USS Hopper name. I was wondering where the name came from and was getting ready to look it up.
My son is Ship03 Div370. I'd love to hear from others of you out there.
Im here!!! Thanks
yay!!! me too..so happy to see you gals again on this page, also praying for our SR
justgot an address today. nice to know where he is
What part of Texas? My son left out of Houston. Our home is in SC, but my SR was visiting his brother in the Spring and went to a recruiter not realizing that once he signed up, he couldn't go back home. LOL
From another page I am seeing where the first letters are trickling in from the SRs. Personal messages aside, I think it would be great if we shared the RTC only experiences that they offer in order to get a better idea of what their daily lives look like on Ship 3. Each will no doubt offer a small glimpse of their routine. Together, we could piece together a much larger picture.
I got a letter today too. He started off being funny. say he hate it come get him them lol. which was funny but over all he said it was straight that mean it ok and he's ok. He said they stay busy and being busy days go by fast and on Sunday its holiday routine but they cant go to sleep none during the day. But I know God is keep them. I'm bragging on JESUS now for what he is doing and what he's about to do for Ship 03 369 and 370. Not being selfish I pray for them all. Because God is able to do anything but fail.
That's too funny. Glad Tre' has kept his sense of humor. I'm happy that you received your letter. My SR sounded a bit somber. He's usually more informative. I'm thinking that he was just very tired and didn't have the brain function to write. :P
Also got my letter today, we defintiely get our mail late PST around 2-3pm so was on the look out the window every so often to see if my flag is down..
per my SR"please write to me about what is going on, i don't like to talk about bootcamp that much haha.".(he is always man of few words), he said stinks only bec. he miss everyone, So that melt my heart, try not to cry while reading the letter to everyone here at home, yes, the letter is so brief as they don't have much time. (kinda nervous, as he don't like doing thank you note, let alone writing a letter,so am Praising GOD also got mine!!!
Praise the Lord!!!!! Well back to my prayer life for our SR!!! Amen?
