Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 371 & 372.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My fiance is in the same division as your son! His rating is CTM and he'll also be heading to Pensacola for A School :)

Yes my son will be going to Pensacola. He called me today because he needed some info for security clearance. I was soooo happy to hear his voice!! He said he may be changing from CTR to CTN now.

I believe my son will go to A school in Florida and he is DIV 371

My son is in ship12 div 372! He is AT/AE. Excited to get to know everyone!

I got the form letter yesterday! My son wrote me a little note on it "Love you guys tell everyone I said hi. Don't worry, I got this :)"  I was and still am on cloud nine!! It is amazing how a little note can make me so happy and ease my mind. Now I can't wait for a personal letter but the note will do for now :)

Awesome!!! I was sooo excited to open our form letter - we too, got a personal note, well ONE of us did - it said "Tell Kelly i love her more than ever" = WHAT??? Sad mama ;( But I guess I knew I wasnt always gonna be his #1 girl forever!! Just happy that he's happy!!

My son is ship 12 div 371 and is going to culinary school after.

Hi all, my son is in ship 12 div.372 and is an apprentice.   Does anyone else have a child going in with this "job"?

I got to talk to my SR today :)  He needed some info for the background check. He sounded great! He said they are on week 1 - day 2 (although he left for BC 9/13, days prior to this week were P days) Just thought I would mention they were on  week 1 - 2 in case any of you wanted to get an idea of what they were doing. They give a day by day on NAVYdep.com.  I am sure it is not exact and things vary depending on situations but it gives you an idea of whats going on.

if they are only one week 1, how can 11/9 be PIR? That;; be the 7th week not 8th? Im confused!

I'm not exactly sure how they count the weeks. I can also tell you that as of Wednesday afternoon 9/26 they have not received nor been able to send any mail. They still have not finished training an SR to handle the mail (Federal law requires them to do that)

So they are just on week 1?  How is that if they have been gone for 3 weeks?  Is your son in DIV 371?

Just trying to get an idea when I might get a call or letter.
