WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Lulovesjosh - well let's hope our guys all score very well lol. I just wish I got a call that's all lol. It was bad enough I missed his first one. Blahh...And go home girl and check that mail LOL....I wont get home till much later tonight - long day at work, but my mail didn't come till Thursday from last week, so I'm sure it's remaining the same this week. If you get a letter let me know! I'm staying positive, I actually haven't cried lately lol, but it's just frustrating!!!

I may have to make an excuse to run home for a few minutes once I know the mail has been delivered to see if there is a letter!  Awww Juliette, don't worry, it is all going to end up being fine, it is hard to get through now, but in a few weeks it won't matter at all because it will be over!!  Just stay positive and *try* to forget about getting a call, pretend it isn't even an option, that way when it DOES happen, all you will feel is joy!  :)

I'm starting to feel like I'm a bit crazy. I've been clinging to my cell phone for weeks upon end now. It's beginning to feel hopeless. When on earth are we ever gonna get a phone call? As I'm writing letters I'm starting to feel like I'm sending them out to no one....when I stare at my phone, I'm starting to think I'm hallucinating that I'm waiting on someone to call me, when reality...nobody is. Ahhhh - I can't take thisssss :(

diannep, I knew that your son had been asmoed, but I didn't realize that his new division was with the special op RDC's too.  :)   My son has always said that he was so happy to have had the experience to train with them.  He really did have a lot of respect for them and looked up to them.

Hi Lisa I have a daughter on ship 11 division 363 as well.
Comment by diannep on October 3, 2012 at 11:38am

Betsy:  My son had the same situation when he was put into a new division after being asmoed for a week.  The spec ops divisions were there and he said that this division was much tougher and more disciplined.  His calls once there were very infrequent, nothing like his first division's calls--he had called a good number of times in that one.

I am still anxiously waiting!  I have tried stop going to the mailbox but uhhhhh no that has not helped.  My hubby feels so bad for me...I think :oI  Still holding to the no news is good news.  I called her best friend, who did receive a letter, and asked if I could see the letter he received if not too personal.  He said YES! yeah.  I think it will help a little to just see her handwriting! :o)
