Markelle, cool that your guy is so thoughtful. Mazzyhopefan & Juliette, I'm not sure how close those hotels are. I don't recall seeing any hotels close to the base but we did come the back way like Sarge suggested at his Meet & Greet at the Sundance-which by the way was very informative. If you don't rent a car, Sarge runs a cab service which is supposed to be really good. We drove so we didn't need his service but others have really raved on how good he was. We stayed at the Quality Inn which did have a free shuttle to the graduation. The room was okay and they had a nice serve yourself breakfast available.
Ohmygosh....I just want to leave work now and go home and check my mailbox! Everyone is getting letters and i'm getting antsy now lol - mazzy, yes! I'm arriving on the 8th, which is Thursday and leaving on the 10th, Saturday...how about you?
Praise the Lord I got mail today!!!! Well here is what he said. Dear Mom, I hate it here come get me. LOL. Im just kidding its ok. He said they stay busy so the days go by fast. And he was bored so all he do is eat. Oh yea he said keep the mail coming and did everyone miss him. Love you mom.
So I know he doing ok. Oh he did say when he got their on the 12th they was in processing that week.
Got my letters..there were 2 in the same envelope. She wrote the first one on the 19th and the second on the 21st. I busted out in tears...but happy ones:)
We got a letter today!!!!! so happy to hear from him. Says it was VERY tough at first but getting better, kinda like high school except no talking at lunch (lol), he didnt pass his mile and 1/2 run but WILL...
couldnt have asked for a better report!! he said he had NOT gotten any of our letters yet, we sent last thursday.
mazzyhopefan, If you are able to rent a car I would recommend you do so. Though the walking distance may be close it is sometimes not possible to walk to your destination.
Taking a taxi everywhere can add up quickly and most of the time ends up costing more than renting a car for a couple of days.
MarkelleGohr, you need to write your BF and tell him to start teaching classes on being a romantic during holiday time! (After they all write letters to their gf/fiances/wives, of course!) SO SWEET!
Exactly! I'm hoping there are restaurants around, within walking distance because we aren't renting a car. Are you arriving Thursday Juliette?
