WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hey guys! Just got my letter from my fiance today with his grad date and division. Anyone have anyone on Ship 14 Division 368? I'm so happy I finally got this. I can't wait to send my letters out to him tomorrow. God I miss him dearly.

We are lucky enough to be within driving distance - I guess its a little easier for me being "step" mom but the anticipation of waiting to hear how he is doing over all is crazy!  i keep having thoughts of "something" going wrong and him getting sent home.  I guess because we jumped through so many hoops to get him in!  Working on the positive thinking... lol

Mailman just came...His first letter is here!  So happy, he is definately Ship 14 Div 368.  Hello, fellow SR families!  My husband and I are so excited, already booked our flights and hotel for PIR.  Countdown!  : )

Jennifer1, I sent my SR a letter from the dog, and made the poor thing put up with me putting blue food coloring on her paw so I could force her to stand on the letter to "sign" it, tell me I haven't lost it!

Comment by jennifer1(Ship 13 Div 366) on September 21, 2012 at 3:56pm

Karen366 I agree, i keep writing letters just with little day to day stuff, notes about what his dog is say is "I want you home!" LOL!  My husband keeps saying we should hear something anyday.  I think he is also feeling the loneliness too.

Jennifer1 I am trying to go by the theory that no news is good news.  I keep sending letters trying to no let him know that I keep breaking down, but to let him know that I am proud of him and that he was in top shape and mentally ready before he left and he just has to do what is expected of him.  When I really want to say OK enough of this, come home.  But that is the selfish part of me, know deep in my soul that this is an oppurtunity of a lifetime if he does it well.
