OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Calirose:  If you don't get a call this weekend, call the Public Affairs Office on Monday and see if they can give you a status update on your SR since you are getting ready to start your travel to PIR.  In the meantime, go on the NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS theory!

Hopefully you will hear something soon!

Good Morning Ladies.

Calirose I spoke to my SR and he told me that everyone passed from DIV 365,366 we're now a NAVY FAMILY and I don't think it's right that anyone go off assumption without knowing. A lot of NAVY Moms have SR on our DIV and their SR have said the same. So I bet your SR had watch because my son said that some of them had watch and we're disappointed they couldn't call to tell their family the GREAT NEWS YOU WILL GET YOUR CALL "I'M A SAILOR"! I think all our comments should stay positive and not talk about anyones SR it's not right. These SR have worked hard to get here! Sweet blessings to all :-)

I think it depends on the SR's in the division.  My Sailor said in the letter he wrote Sunday the 28 that they were the leading divison in the group until 15 got demerit chits for fist bumping in church, now why after 8 weeks of training they would still have that behaviour is beyond my understanding, but they are all from different backgrounds, diverse experiences in being raised, some were raised with rules and follow them, some were not.  It is unfortunate for those who chose the Navy understanding that Honor Courage and Commitment are not just words but nonetheless, just as in life, you still have to work together and do your best according to your morals and values.  Please let us know when you get the call, but if you hear nothing again, that is a good thing. My heart is aching for you and you are in my prayers.

Oh Calirose, how frustrating for you. I feel for you. Stay as positive as you possibly can until you hear your SR's voice and know for sure. Maybe diannep, LaLa, or FTLW can answer your BS question. It seems I read here somewhere that if they don't pass BS in their group they get to try again in another group? I'm sending good positive thoughts your way.

Thank you!!! Just going to be really hard to wait. Guess it's good thing I also asked for the following weekend off work just in case his PIR date ends up being changed. How can some divisions do well but after 8 weeks div 366 is still having trouble?????
Comment by karens (alumni ship 13-Div 366) on November 3, 2012 at 8:54am

Calirose, my SR only had a few minutes to talk when he called, he said that their liberty is being cut short due to some in their division and battlestations.  I didn't ask about the whole division I was so anxious about talking to him, I'm sorry, but your SR may have had watch and couldn't call.  I know some of the other divisions were getting rewarded and allowed to call more, but our division is not one of them.  If you don't get a call from him it may be due to above, I would try not to worry because if he wasn't graduating they would let him call to tell you that.  Thoughts and prayers with you.  We are here for you.

Just saw post that their SR said division 366 did not do well in BS. Trying really hard to not worry but not working right now. What happens if he doesn't call me? Anybody know?

Hey all, Try and remember when you get that "I Am A Sailor" call to ask your SAILOR if everyone in the division passed. It makes it difficult for those that don't get a call for whatever reason to have to wait to find out.

Calirose, Hang in there, there are several reasons you may not have gotten a call, watch being the number one reason. Hugs to you .

Big Hug smiley face

Thanks for the support.  Would be so much harder if I didn't have this site.  Can't wait to get that call!!!!
