Calirose: If you don't get a call this weekend, call the Public Affairs Office on Monday and see if they can give you a status update on your SR since you are getting ready to start your travel to PIR. In the meantime, go on the NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS theory!
305-688-2405
Hopefully you will hear something soon!
Good Morning Ladies.
I think it depends on the SR's in the division. My Sailor said in the letter he wrote Sunday the 28 that they were the leading divison in the group until 15 got demerit chits for fist bumping in church, now why after 8 weeks of training they would still have that behaviour is beyond my understanding, but they are all from different backgrounds, diverse experiences in being raised, some were raised with rules and follow them, some were not. It is unfortunate for those who chose the Navy understanding that Honor Courage and Commitment are not just words but nonetheless, just as in life, you still have to work together and do your best according to your morals and values. Please let us know when you get the call, but if you hear nothing again, that is a good thing. My heart is aching for you and you are in my prayers.
Calirose, my SR only had a few minutes to talk when he called, he said that their liberty is being cut short due to some in their division and battlestations. I didn't ask about the whole division I was so anxious about talking to him, I'm sorry, but your SR may have had watch and couldn't call. I know some of the other divisions were getting rewarded and allowed to call more, but our division is not one of them. If you don't get a call from him it may be due to above, I would try not to worry because if he wasn't graduating they would let him call to tell you that. Thoughts and prayers with you. We are here for you.
Congrats to all the new Sailors :-) I know you are very excited right now.
Good morning everyone, sorry I have been MIA for a couple days. i was subbing, Thursday was 5th grade and supposed to be the same on Friday and we were going on a field trip but I got moved to 3rd grade so no field trip for me lol. I felt like I forgot my permission slip lol. So busy busy evenings and family here this weekend. I had lots to get done. Now I am working on a Tee-shirt quilt got my Sailor :-) and i have to have it finished and in the mail by Monday YIKES. I hope you all are doing well and have a wonderful weekend
Hey all, Try and remember when you get that "I Am A Sailor" call to ask your SAILOR if everyone in the division passed. It makes it difficult for those that don't get a call for whatever reason to have to wait to find out.
Calirose, Hang in there, there are several reasons you may not have gotten a call, watch being the number one reason. Hugs to you .
Thanks for the support. Would be so much harder if I didn't have this site. Can't wait to get that call!!!!
