Just got our letter today so not sure how many out there have the same information.  7 days in and he says it sucks !!!  probably so !!  we'll start writing to him,  encourage him to keep going and remember that you go through Basic Training, you don't stay there.   Better things await those who persevere !

God Bless all the recruits

you'll have to look up Schlotsky's and see if there is one there!! That would be cool for him.
I love Schlotsky's Deli, we used to have 2 of them in Mobile, AL but they closed a couple of years ago.

My Sailor says she wants to go to a buffet to eat when we get up there! They are gonna make them selves sick with the fried and sugary foods that they haven't had in 8 weeks.
they are suppose to get pizza so that will be fun ! Actually that sounds good to me too. ; )
Did anyone get a call today or yesterday? My sailor thought she would get to call Saturday or Sunday.
No, not here anyway. Have been thinking our little group here has been quiet for a couple days. Nice for it all to be settling down some. Not so frantic !! I guess we might as well try and find each other in our section at PIR. Not sure anything else will work. I know there is a M & G the night before but we will be travelling and getting in late Friday, then up early to catch the first shuttle over to GL. So, I guess we'll see how it all works out.
Where are you staying Nola? Are you taking a shuttle from your hotel or on base? What is M & G mean?
Okay I take it back, we are talking to him now. They came in second for Capt.'s Cup by a small margin ! He had just gotten back from Taco Bell and had a Mtn. Dew.
Tough huh? He's just yaking about so many things. We put him on speaker phone so we can all chime in.
Nola - so happy you got a call tonight!
i got to talk to my hubby too...he said its rdc heaven week...they got to have real food for dinner...mine choose subway...i acual got a text from the bank about it right before he called...i connected it to three w/his mama...he hasnt talked to her the whole time...they could chose to shop, eat, use the computers or the phones until 2000..wonder if thats how the rest of this week will be...they dont have anything left the "have" to do...bonus of being first for BST-21 i guess...he said they are going to show off their march for some of the other div (so they can do it as well as us) he said they are in spot 4 he thinks for PIR...aka realy close to that open hanger door, we will be sitting till they march in (2nd to last)...brr...
we are at the Residence Inn but I'm sure all the hotels have a shuttle. My son said we may not need to leave so early since it's a smaller group graduating. However, it's always better to be safe. M & G is meet and greet. I think several ladies were getting together at the Ramada Friday night but I won't be attending that.
I'm at the Residence Inn too....The meet & greet is Thursday at the Ramada if that is what you were referring to..... If not, my bad for chiming in! :-)
Diana - no, good to hear from you and thanks for correcting me on the meet and greet. Friday nite? good grief! that would be too late.
So, Battlestations tonite ?? At least they seem to enjoy it and then they get to sleep 10 hr.afterward. My son said his head hit the pillow and didn't move till it was time to get up. Oh, to be able to sleep like that again !!
