Hi all!  This is a discussion I've started for the families with recruits in Ship 11, Div 368.  Of course anyone can join, but this will help those of us in this specific group get to know each other.

Hi! My son is Ship 11, Div 368. No letters no call yet. Lynn
My fiance is in the same, and I got his form letter yesterday, but no phone calls. I am not expecting one for at least 3 weeks, though. I hope you hear from your sailor soon!!! I know all I got was the leter, but I was ECSTATIC!!!
Kelly - I started a discussion group for this ship and div under Boot Camp for Moms and have only heard from 3 other Moms. You can join us there since no one seems to be communicating here.

I believe I'm one of those three. I have not received SR call or letter. I'm hoping he received my letter last Sunday. What do you think? From what I have read from Navymoms. SR's may not get our mail for 1-2 weeks. Also they may not get to write for 2-4 weeks. Can SR's receive and send mail only on Sundays?
I thought I read somewhere in NM's additional days were added during the week? I have booked a hotel for PIR, but until I hear from my SR I'm afraid to book a flight. The refundable tickets seem to be much more. PIR is 11/12/10, could it be changed to 11/19 still? I also read there are 7 divisions in our ship 11 area. Div 364,365,367,368,369,370 and a Div 9??. Sorry can't remember off hand.
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks Ladies
Deb... If what I read in the discussion group PIR 11/12/10 it may be cheaper to book the flight and change it. We are driving because my fiance' son and his family are not far from GL so we'll visit the grand kids first.
Hi Ladies - As long as your division is posted on the Navy website with a graduation date of 11/12 the only way your SR may not make it would be due to injury or not passing a test. And I'm praying no one gets injured and everyone passes all tests. The div 9 is 952 - the performance division. But do be smart and book the non-refundable ticket it really is much cheaper, even if you have to change it for some reason
Thank Diana,
I was thinking of booking from 11/11 to 1/14. How much time do we get to spend with our SR's is very confusing. Nick is getting his wisdom teeth out next week. He said one day off with a pain med then back to FFD. He's tough but Ouch! I am hoping this won't mess up PIR for him. He did pass
He said he is on his third Bunk mate, they are really hitting it off well. They like the same things. Music sports, Movie trivia. He said his with a great group and so many PPL from different places, he love's it.
That's what I did...From what I understand our recruits (then Sailors) will receive Liberty following PIR and Saturday and Sunday. The key is they need to be back on base in their ship by a certain time each night - they will be able to tell us when that is, and when we can pick them up in the morning.....
