One final thought before actually closing this window.. the first time in 2 months..

Many woman have moved me in this forum, from 365 (high five) to 952 and all inbetween. Go 370 the underdogs!!

But Tobianne.. I have said it once about how proud I am of you and your different journey but I need to say it again. Without getting way out of control personal, I know how you feel and can relate with your sons disappointment but you did something that some of us would never do when standing in the crossroads like you and he did a few months back. You never ran away from us here.. You stood tall and were able to still partake in the journey giving us many looks into what our children/spouses were going through. some funny, some touching .

And THAT makes you special. makes God proud. Believe me when I say, your son's path may be something COMPLETELY out of the ordinary (thinking of my daughter) so just keep the faith and an open heart. The possibilities are beyond what we can grasp.

God's timing on things is always perfect.. ours not-so-much, :O)

Thank you Tobainne, I truly express my gratitude to you, your son and your family. (hug)

Dee-

Just think, we at one time were that momma. I thank God for opening my eyes to see what My children did. I now understand what they want and what they feel they need to do to keep us safe at night. I cover myself with the blanket of freedom afforded to me by the many men and woman who cared enough to say I will take this job no one else wants. I will go with out sleep and with out good food. I will go with showering, and I will leave my family and friends, so when I came back home, I can enjoy my life with my family and friends in a way that has always been. FREE

Well this place is going to get mighty quiet if it hasn't already... Sooo I could talk to myself for a while.. I could make breakfast for the boys... I could finish packing. Nope! Dunkin Donuts coffee and manicure. Yep! Sounds perfect! I wish everyone, although not sure how many will be reading this... safe travels to Chicago. THE WEATHER IS ABSOULTELY GORGEOUS! and that makes me so happy because it makes all so special for ALL the families. It has been SUCH a journey, a journey a year ago I never thought I or my daugther would be taking. This has changed my outlook on my governemnt, my military and all the people, in all branches, who make this decision and the families that stand behind them.

One final thought.... while waiting to see my 17 years olds teacher for PT conference yesterday night. A senior boy, very straight laced good student looking, was talking very quietly to his mom (but they were right next to me) about wanting to be a Marine. This mother was nothing but negative about it and all her comments were not justifiable. I kept my mouth shut.. hard to do knowing what I know. So I said a silent prayer right there in the too small desk. "Please God, give her patience, give her courage, and let her see that it's not about her anymore but about her child, who from everything I'm hearing and the reasons he is giving her, will make a GREAT and ADMIRABLE Marine". Amen...

Get the tissue ready, the bags to the door.. this proud momma is ready to GO... with a decorated mini van, pretty new french manicure and credit card in hand!

Everyone please be safe. dress warm for those not from this section of the country. In Ohio it is 31 right now and GL is not usually that much different, and possibly a bit colder with that cut through you wind.

Please thank all of your Sailors for me,tell them I am proud of each one of them and best of luck with the next step. If any have a Sea Bee going to Sheppard AFB, let me know and I may see them in January and would also like to let Kayla know. She could look for them.

Have a wonderful weekend and love on them so much as this is so-so short. Never enough time when you really want it.
