I  got a real 10 minute call from my son in Ship 14 Div. 001. He sounds good and strong. He said food is better than expected. He is happy his bunkmate is 27 cause he is 22. He says he only has 2 phone calls left so he won't call for 3 weeks. It made my day. I made sure we didn't waste time with all the info I put in a letter to him. I just asked HIM questions. He is very excited to get to the "fun stuff" of BC.

Thanks for the heads up on booking the rooms but I think I'll wait on the air tickets from Jacksonville, FL for a few weeks. I don't really want to pay for refundable ones. Sailor4 - I can't believe you are driving! I hope you can make a good roadtrip out of it like a stopover in Nashville.

About how long is the phone call?    Would someone mind posting the site for the ribbons and the blue candle. I am not sure where I saw it at. THANK YOU

I got a call from my husband just now!!!!!! Ship 14 div 2 :) SOO good to hear his voice and know that his division is doing good, he's RPOC which is no surprise since he was RPOC in dep. I am so proud of my man, and I am so proud of all the people in his division!! PIR can't come soon enough. What a great way to start my weekend. I just wish he would have been able to talk to our toddler.
