Goodmorning Moms, I feel bad for those who missed their sons phone calls... I hope they get to call again. Liz our kids are on the same ship and division.. But according to my son he said their are 89 boys in that group.... Wow...

Awww, I know it is so hard.  That first letter, and more importantly, that first received phone call will help alot!  Keep that phone with you at all times, even in the bathroom or when stepping out to get the mail.  Sometimes they can come in very early in the mornings too.  Hoping you get one soon!

So sorry, Liz.  But sadly it happens since the calls can come at any time.  I hope he gets to call again soon!  Was he able to leave a message?  I hope so.

Good Morning All !

Just read where the PIR 11/07 group was to receive their first mail today/mail out first letters too, so it may be another week before this group does and can write.

Comment by diannep on September 28, 2014 at 11:18pm

ShannonsMom:  They start receiving mail 2 weeks approx. after they arrive, and the Recruit Mail Petty Officer is trained.  It is possible that she received her first mail today?  If not, then it should be next Sunday.  After that, they receive it M-F but can only write Sundays/mail out Mondays.

Welcome to the new members!
